A note about Shea butter. Sometimes Shea butter will develop a grainy texture after the bars have been poured and cooled. If your bar develops a grainy texture, there is no cause for alarm as there is nothing wrong with it, it's just a matter of cooling too quickly. The grains should melt at body temperature. The Shea butter is tempered, similar to tempering chocolate, to prevent this issue, but sometimes those pesky little grains persist.
